One day we were doing an episode and a celebrity couldn’t do a segment. Mikel Welch: I got my start working as a set decorator on the Steve Harvey talk show. After that, I ended up moving about eight times in five years, just buying places, fixing them up, renting them out, moving to the next place, and that’s how I got my basic construction chops. ![]() I had painted it, and I put in new carpet.
